We´re headed to the airport in Montevideo, then to Buenos Aires, then Miami, then Chicago, then Des Moines! That´s alot of airports! I´ll post about our adventures at the Uruguay Red Cross when we get home and add the photos then too. And, apparently I´ll need to offer an explanation about the reason for the discussion with the Uruguay police - my portion of that conversation was, ¨lo siento, lo siento!´´ ... once again, it was a good thing Carlos was with us.
Ciao!

Muchos Gracias to Carlos for taking such careful care of you two! Your last dinner sounds like out of a movie. First dinner, you didn't know if you could stay awake for 10:00 pm, and last dinner you stayed til 1:00 am and closed the place out! The six weeks that it takes to create a habit only took you one week! Happy trip home! A driving citation is Spanish would have been quite the souvenier. Love, love, M/O/M
ReplyDeleteHello Marianna and Esteban,
ReplyDeleteBuh By Uruguay! It seems like you just arrived there, but you certainly made spectacular use of your time. I enjoyed hearing about the treasures you found at the Mercado de los artesans. I think Joyce and I visited there. If so, it was a cluster of upscale shops under the same roof. I was impressed that you two wine experts found the Uruguay wines to be of exceptional quality, especially the Bouza Chardonnay and Merlot. I was a little surprised, however, that with all those steaks Esteban thought his best meal was Thai chicken. (I knew Marianna would go for the cheese pasta).
I would like to hear about the Red Cross visit, and whether Marianna pulled rank. I am in no hurry, however, to hear about your near incarceration for illegal activities.
We will come back to Uruguay! What a perfect indicator that you had a good time there!
Love from RWY
